As a self confessed cheese addict and long time cake lover, I jumped at the opportunity to find out more about a new kind of afternoon tea launching in London. Forget traditional scones with clotted cream and jam, as this particular one features cheese in abundance, and in every mouthful.

The Georgian House in Pimlico has created a 3-tier feast championing regional suppliers of cheese across the UK.

Savoury dishes include Ashdown Forresters Smoked Cheddar Welsh rarebit, and Little Sussex cheese, ‘nduja & roasted pepper sandwich. Follow this with a baked Sussex Charmer Cheddar & thyme scone with apple & chutney. Finish with sweet treats such as ricotta with whisky soaked apricots, toasted almonds & honey, and L’Ubriaco Drunk Cheese Basajo with currants & oat biscuit. Accompanying drinks are also available with each dish making this a must have visit if like me, cheese plays a key role in your life.
